Art club is back for the 2013-2014 school year. We started off October with some great projects in art club and I love the way these hand drawigns turned out. Great job art club!
Ceramics class is off to a great start this year. Creating these clay birds is our third project of the year. Students used what they learned about making pinch pots and attaching details to make these birds. In the photo to the left they need to dry, go into the kiln and be glazed. The photos below are the finished project. I love how they each have their own personality. Great job done by all ceramics students!
To begin this project students read an article in Scholastic Art Magazine about the graffiti artist Banksy. Students learned how Banksy used street art to expose people from every walk of life to his work. Then students designed a style of lettering inspired by graffiti. Within the letters of their names students added each of the elements of art. The elements of art are line, color, texture, shape, form, space and value. Can you pick out each element of art in these projects?
